Dr. Joyce Lee
Born in Malaysia and growing up in Hong Kong, Dr. Joyce Lee came to pursue studies in the United States in the early 1980s. She graduated as Valedictorian from her high school and went on to receive a full-tuition undergraduate academic scholarship from Long Island University. Dr. Lee graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology concentrating in Molecular Biology. Her undergraduate achievements earned her an academic full tuition scholarship to New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Lee received her dental degree and relocated to Atlanta to further her training to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She earned her medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in 1997. In 2000, Dr. Lee completed an internship in General Surgery as well as a surgical residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Lee is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, Hinman Dental Society, and OKU Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Lee has presented her research at the International Association of Dental Research and the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons meetings. Dr. Lee has published articles in the Journal of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is on the teaching faculty at Emory University's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program. She is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology.
Dr. Lee has been practicing in midtown Atlanta since 2000 and she is currently on active staff at both Piedmont and Crawford Long hospital where she practices broad scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
